Lecture 1: Never Show Fear: Tales of Eye-Brain Diseases

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand how to approach neuro-ophthalmic emergencies
  • Learn not to miss symptoms and signs in eye-brain diseases
  • Learn how to interact with patients with eye-brain diseases and make the next right steps.

Lecture 2:  Reading Difficulties in Eye-Brain Diseases
(Dr. Liao)

Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:

  • Learn about the simple ways reading abilities can be assessed in the eye clinic
  • Understand the ocular motor abilities and patterns necessary to read and how this is affected in eye-brain diseases
  • Understand how reading is affected in patients with visual field loss, ocular motor issues, and Parkinson's disease.

Register For the October Scientific Monthly Meeting

 Those wishing to participate via webinar will be provided with that month’s login information. To claim CME credit for any of the sessions in this series, please download the credit claim form from the WAEPS website’s Monthly Meeting page and keep track of the sessions you attend. Be sure to submit that form to the WAEPS office no later than June 30, 2020. In addition, in-person attendees must sign in at each session to have their participation verified and receive credit. Note that WAEPS membership is required in order to claim credit for the series.
